Hand therapy is a therapy-based management of the hand to restore or maintain the function, mobility and strength of the hand. This is done through splinting, exercise, scar management and advice on aids and techniques to aid your activities of daily living.

We make bespoke thermoplastic splints, and can offer advice regarding off-the-shelf splints for contracture and spasticity management and rheumatology management.

We provide education and advice regarding management of spasticity and contractures. This can be aimed at individuals, families and carers. Well managed spasticity can result in improved hand hygiene, reduced risk of contractures, and reduced risk of skin damage. Splinting after botox injections can improve the effects of botox.
